| "...every branch that is grape-bearing he prunes back so it will bear even more." (John 15:2b) *I'm enjoying being pruned* (as much as I can)
"But if you make yourselves at home with me and my words are at home in you, you can be sure that whatever you ask will be listened to and acted upon. " (John 15:7)
Jesus sure knows how to encourage me. He uses midnight IM conversations, best friend phone calls, emails from my aunt Amy, & His very own words.
I love Jesus. (and anybody who doesn't will once they get to know Him better.)
- new country. new schedule. new friends. new life.

| Daddy and Andrea & I went looking for the Argentine Consulate today... we went into 7 different buildings and up two elevators and talked to at least two security guards.
the first one at the info desk said, "that elevator. 14th floor." (so adamantly that my dad said he was afraid to argue. it's b-a-d when my dad is afraid to argue. haha) well. that was the broken elevator. so Andrea & I were very glad when we got to the 10th floor. then we got off and walked across more bridges into another building and we finally found our last security guard. "oh. you're in luck. 7th floor." (we didn't believe in luck (which turned out to be quite wise of us... ) but andrea and I were very happy that this elevator was only taking us to the 7th floor.)
what did we find at the seventh floor? the Korean Consulate. wrong language. wrong people. wrong accents. wrong country. wrong continent. (andrea: "sorry, nice lady, let me teach you. Korea is in Asia.")
finally, we went down stairs in this building and looked at the map took an elevator to the twenty-first floor, and I saw mi bandera. it was so beautiful and blue and white. (I've never been so glad to see it.)
::the end:: ----------------------------------------------------------
God is teaching me something completely amazing. Andrea said it today, "Anita, I think God is trying to remind you that you don't always have to be in control."
it's awesome, but it's tough... I am really going to need prayer in the next couple of days. I can already see God's hand but I don't want to lose sight of His promises.
help me, Lord. tranquila, Anita.

"just one more week and then you'll be flying over the andes. gee. I hope you don't bump into one! they're pretty tall you know..." -daddy "dad... I don't fly over them at all. *rolls eyes*" - me "I know my geography!! Then if you crash landed on the top of one you might see a Yetti!" -daddy "yeah! and then you could take your cheap digital camera and write a book on how you survived the Yetti Attack." -andy "yeah, and make millions of dollars on a lie by taking photos of a squirrel and enlarging them." -ashton
oh my gosh. |

| I left chick-fil-a today. "portate bien, ché! eso es que vas a decir..."
the one thing I'm going to miss about Chick-fil-A. Esperanza calls me, "Anita la huerfanita".
that's my best nickname yet.
